California Trip Part 2....Day 2

Our second day in San Diego.... we started with a beautiful morning walk along the docks.  We were enjoying the cool weather after the hot days in Phoenix.  Then we were off to a second day at Sea World.  We had breakfast with Shamu which was awesome.  Our tables were directly waterside so we got to see Shamu up-close.  The trainers gave us lots of interesting information and answered questions.  It was definitely worth the extra money to have this experience.  After that we rode all of the rides and got soaked!    After a full day at Sea World we drove 2 hours up to Los Angeles.

A walk at the marina at the hotel

There were ducks all around the hotel;  I think Austin took a picture of each and every one of them.

Breakfast with Shamu.  We had great tables right at the water's edge.  The breakfast was really good too.  What a terrific way to start the day!

The trainers had Shamu (and crew) do some tricks.

Touching the starfish at the touchpools.

Riding the Shipwreck Rapids-- we got absolutely soaked.  But it was so much fun we rode it twice in a row (luckily everyone else was in the Shamu show so they let us just stay in our raft for a second ride).

A very goofy family in the polar bear cave.....

Rob, Drew and Lexi decided to ride the Journey to Atlantis.  Austin and Adam didn't think it sounded like a great idea so we watched.

They survived the plunge....after this part of the ride through the water, it turns into a roller coaster.

The boys enjoyed getting soaked by the boats as they came down the big plunge.

Finishing the day with Shamu Ice Cream bars before heading to Los Angeles.
