Some Time With the Boys
| Today the boys and I set out for some errands. I don't think I've ever taken just the boys with me so it was really nice to have some special time with them. They got hair cuts (much needed!), then we went to the music store to get some sheet music and guitar strings, and the video game store. Since I had a couple of expiring coupons at Build-a-Bear we went there to get Austin and Adam a Build a Bear Panda (they named it Po like the panda they saw in the movie Kung Fu Panda last week). Then it was some boring errands and we grabbed some lunch. Tonight we started working on our guitar practicing. The kids have gotten pretty good just by teaching themselves but tonight I sat down with them to work on the basics and some chords. Austin was pretty into it:  Poor Lexi doesn't have a real guitar so she did her best with the Guitar Hero guitar:  Austin has a smaller sized electric guitar that he plays amazingly well. He really takes to music. His piano teachers have always been impressed by his aptitude (though they agree his work ethic lacks!). Lys has a full size electric guitar which she had signed by her favorite band. Adam, well....he's being Adam in this photo. Don't know if I will ever get that kid to be normal in a photo:  Drew and Adam playing a video game:  Did I mention this kid can't be in a serious photo?  Need I say more???  |
